Is there anything that will let me create a free intranet?

Question

I would like something that would let me create a free intranet so I can basically share all my files just on my home network. If you can think of anything at all please tell me. P.S. I am running Vista but I have an XP computer aswell so I could set it up on that but look at it on Vista.

I use Apache HTTP Server.  It's fairly straight foreward and best of all it's free!  I've enclosed a link to an article to help you set this up.
