Is there anything that would increase my chances of finding my dad?

i posted a craigs list add... i dont really want to go public with this... is there anything i can do to help my add along... like with answers the more questions you answer the more answers you get...

any suggestiosn would be awsome!

Not sure if the USA is the same as Australia, but if you know his D.O.B and full name.... Can you check the taxation department or the electoral role?

That's how I found my dad but then he disappeared again, some people just don't want to be found :(

You don't say why you are not in touch with your father.  However, do you know for sure that he even has computer access?  Do you know that he might be reading craigs list?  If you don't post things in places where you believe he may be looking, then you lessen your chances of finding him.

You can't put a bounty on your dad's head, but have you thought of posting ads on Craigslist for OTHERS to find your dad?

I don't know why you are seeking your dad out, but perhaps if you ran ads throughout Craigslist describing your dad, or where he used to live, or gave enough information about him that someone might be able to identify him, that might help you.

Do you have a picture(s) of your dad? Could you create a web site or a link to your web site from Craigslist?

I would make sure your full name and contact info is online and comes up with a google search so if your dads searching he can find you
