  1. There is very little to do in Walworth. However, it has some of the best bus links in London and you can get to pretty much any of the major tourist attractions in just one bus ride.

  2. Cheer up: on your very doorstep is the not-so-small but definitely wonderfully weird place called London. ;D

You're only barely in zone 2 and from Walford it's such a short hop away from the London Dungeons and lots of other Thames-side attractions south and east of central London -- just for starters there's HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe theatre (a thatched-roof, open-air theatre... surely worth taking a tour if you don't fancy seeing a play... )

But even Walworth itself has its highlights. In August it hosts the biggest Latin festival in Europe -- Carnaval del Pueblo. And since 2008 is its 10th anniversary, you can expect this year's to be more colourful, musical and flavourful than ever.

Here's a handy review of the carnival, so you can read more for yourself. http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/whatson/carn...

Love from a Londoner born and bred.
