Question:

Is there anything to feed a snake besides mice?

Whether it be like raw beef or something, it doesn't matter. My friend wants a pet snake but doesn't want to keep live or even frozen mice in her house or live bugs (she can deal with dead bugs).

Her parents refuse live mice in case they escape, frozen mice because they don't want it in their freezer, and live bugs because they don't want to risk them escaping.

What types of snakes, if any, can eat something other than mice or live bugs?

  1. Mice, chicks, small rodents etc.

Bottom line is, your friend shouldn't really get a snake if she can't meet it's basic needs.

ADD: I've done a bit of research for you, here's a snake she might be able to have, it eats fish and worms. http://www.aboutsnakes.com/snake_food/ga...

  2. snakes love eggs in the shell

  3. Get a big snake and then it can be fed cats. Cat suck!!!!
