I figured since there are many Christians that watch the news, and u always hear about crime on the news, although most of it is exaggerated.I find watching certain cable channels such as ID Discovery, MSNBC, National Geographic, Discovery, TLC, and the History channel. I only watch current events on the cable channels, but I don't watch ABC, NBC, or CBS. However, is there anything the matter w/ Christians reading forensics or true crime?

  1. no

  2. no, christians should keep their heads in that bucket of sand, plug their ears and shout "la la la la la" whenever anyone says anything to them that doesnt involve God.

  3. I do not see a problem with reading on the recent history of crime, or the techniques used in solving crime, or how the have progressed. Although some of the crime magazines seem to be heavy on sexual content. It is my personal belief that a Christian should avoid these type of publications. I am not or do not remember any knowledge of  True Crime if that indeed is the name of a publication. Or is it a generic term to refer to all crime mags.

Any way that is my opinion. Although I nor any one else has the authority to tell another what to do or not to do.

If you read for the historical and educational perspective there absolutely is nothing wrong with it. No more than it is to watch the news or any of the other programs that you mentioned.

    God bless you. terry b

  4. No not at all!

  5. no it is not wrong for Christians people to reading forsenics or true crime they have the right to know.

  6. no. I also like to see dinners, dives and drive-ins and try to make something similar to what is shown by Guy--the host and the new gospel channel some of it is okay but some is way out there.  :D

  7. i don't find anything in the Bible that says you can't,.....

  8. What are they ??

  9. Why would it be wrong? You can't solve a crime withput forensics.. well you can but barely. If its the way to keep justice, then why would it be wrong?

Seriously, theres nothing wrong with Frensic Science. Reading books and watchin shows on it(Except Law and Order, and CSI) actually educates you on the process thats used to process the crime scene and convict the guilty.

  10. I don't see where reading that would hurt, It's not a sin to read as long as it good clean and knowledgeable. it's a blessing.
