Is there anything wrong with my baby?

My baby is only a month and a half months old. When his umbilical cord fell out I cleaned it until it looked like skin had grown over it. Then I started washing it when I give him baths. Today I noticed that it has a red blister looking thing on it. I tried to see if it would come off if I cleaned it with alcohol but it is still there. I was wondering if there was anything wrong with my baby and if any other moms have had this on there kids and what they did. I am now cleaning it again with alcohol. My baby is not running a temperature and it is not ***** or any thing like that.

i agree wit sm but 2 be on the safe side, call the doc...

Your prob over cleaning it.  Dont use alcohol and dont scrub it everyday.  I did the same thing with my daughters and her's took 20x's longer to heal because I did the same thing your doing.  Just let it air out for the next few days.  If its still like that in 2 days then go to the doctor to make sure its not infected.

just leave it alone sweetie it will dry out and be a beutiful little belly button in no time :)

you dont have to clean it that much.  Just in the bath wipe it out with a q tip.  Leave it alone for a while and it should get better.  If not then go see your doc!
