I've looked everywhere and it seems that you have to be 18 no matter what to get your GED. I'll be seventeen in a few months and I started online school back in march, but I hate it. I just want to take my GED test and get it over with, Does anyone know what I can do to get it and not be 18? I really don't want to wait a year and four months to get my GED. HELPPPP?

  1. It varies by state. Most states seem to allow you to take the GED test at 16 or 17 under certain circumstances, but the requirements were different for every state I looked at

  2. It can't even be done with parental consent? Thats weird. Im on Guam and we are allowed to get our GED's if we are no longer enrolled in high school. If you haven't tried already, I suggest having your parents set it up, or whoever your guardian is.

  3. It would help to know what state you're in. In CA, you have to take an exam, that can you you you're diploma automatically. Not sure though, different states have different laws. If it's an online school I'm not positive how they do things, so talk to the person in charge of your charter-school, only they will know for sure.
