  1. Although some companies, like Rogers, will say it is illegal, most mobility providers will either give you a credit, or buy out your contract up to $400.

Telus can not take the phone number away from you, it is yours.  The only way you will lose the number is if you cancel your contract before you switch providers.

  2. each month you are in your contract the early termination fee is lowered by 5$.. it starts at 175$.  if you live in california it is illegal for the carrier (att, verizon, sprint, etc) to have early termination fees.

  3. Call verizon and see what plans they have now. I know awhile back they had a special going where if you took a 2 year contract with them they would pay your disconnect fee with your other company.

  4. You signed a contract. The only way to get out is to prove you get no service. You have to pay the ETF most likely. I would just wait it out.
