I died my hair black and liked it for a year then decided to let it grow out, but considering My natural hair colour is blond the roots looked awful so I got recommended to use semi permanent black for the roots which after loads of washes didnt come out so it was back to the beggining, so I died my roots purple(so it was purple on the top black on the bottom) which I liked but now Im bored of it and want to get the colour stripped, I can't afford to go to the hair dressers to get it done so is here anything I can buy to get rid of the colour??? please help cause My hair is really annoying me and I start back at school in a week and I dont want my hair like this.

and if I do get the colour stripped can I die it afterwards or would that ruin my hair too much?

I live is the UK so it would be helpfull if the sell products in the uk but any product would be great.

  1. You can crew cut your hair or bare with the situation now. You could dye your hair blond and that might damage your hair as dye contain lots of chemical. Your hair can be brittle and dry up and will break and Henna is okay. You can do treatment at home, steaming the hair with oil, there are products that you can buy. I do not know what products you have there. Home products to strengthen your hair and make it shiny and healthy, you live in UK, so I don't think there is any henna tree there - the fresh home grind henna leaves with fresh coconut milk and a little lime juice could do it. WELLA is quite a good product, should try that.

All the best. But I think you should save some money and go to the hair-dresser.

  2. The only was to remove black from your hair will be to bleach it out. and the outcome will most likely be a orange or yellow color. So to fix this you will need to get a hair color that has blue or purple undertones called ash. Just be sure to avoid red colors unless you are dying your hair red. Also make sure you get a color at least slightly darker than the outcome after bleaching your hair. If your hair is not light enough after first time you bleach it you can bleach it again but doing so a second time will be very damaging to your hair. After bleaching and dying my hair I always use a hair conditioning treatment  that is usually left on for 5-25 min then rinsed out.

  3. You can strip your hair using dishwashing liquid, but this will also dry it out. Make sure you use deep conditioner after wards. Good luck!

  4. You need it stripped. Go to the hairdresser. You can't do it at home. You could dye over it but by the time you are done you'll have spent as much money on dye as you would have at the dresser, plus your hair will be terrible.
