  1. The  easiest way is to buy a wireless router, or a wireless access point which can connect to your existing router. Anything else is likely to be unreliable and slower.

  2. yeah, get a thrustmaster psp wifi stick or the one nintendo makes for connecting the ds. you plug it into your computer that has a wired connection and it turns your computer into a wireless hotspot.

  3. You can get a wireless access point, which will just add a wireless capability to your existing wired system. However, I would suggest getting a wireless router anyway as they are only a little more expensive than an access point and the good ones have ethernet ports for you to connect your wired machines to.

Alternatively, if your current machines have a wireless network adapter you could set up an ad-hoc connection between your device and your computer, although not all devices support ad-hoc...

Just make sure whatever you set up is secured with at least WPA encryption and if you do get a decent router then make sure you set up mac address filtering (this is the hardware address of your network adapter, not ip address), which will allow you to limit who can/cannot connect to your system

  4. get a wireless modem with built in wireless router

  5. You need something that will serve out a wireless connection.  At home that will mean a wireless router.  However, wireless routers usually have 2 or 4 wired ports also.
