Is there anyway i can get out of jury duty?

I have important plans on the date im supposed to go in. How can i get out of it.

I don't care if its some unethical way or slightly illegal. As long as i can get out of jury duty and not face to harsh of punishment.

You can go to jail, and possibly be fined.

Say that you believe someone is guilty until proven innocent, or that you would probably nullify no matter the circumstances. I would suggest not trying to avoid it and just nullifying anyway.

You can ask for postponement of it. Call  1-800-842-8175 and tell them the situation.

If you don't go, you get fined $121.00 or held in contempt of court.
