Absolutely, if you have a premium soundcard, (I think Soundblasters you can buy as USB externals!).  You need a digital out to support your 5.1 surround sound, but it's certainly possible...

It's possible but not recommended. You can use the speaker outputs from a receiver to your powered laptop speakers but it posses a problem. Your receiver isn't made to output a fixed signal so you'd have to have the volume turned very low on the receiver or you'll burn out the speakers.

You could use the tv audio output, set to fixed. I wouldn't expect it to sound good because the little laptop speakers are really only designed for computer sound. They won't have the range of even a cheap pair of stereo speakers. Might be fun to try though.
