Is there anyway i could become a professional race car driver?

I'm 19, male and live in canada. I have no racin background but love the sport. Do you think if I start in carts I could some day become a professional race car driver? Or is it too late?

  1. do u have loads of money?

    if not, i don't think so, usually the people who do that, like in Nascar, are rich already

Start by trying to break through in a small series at a local track.  There is an class here called Hornets which are a stock 4-cylinder car.  Put a cage in it and remove the windows and you can race on our little oval track.  I am sure similar tracks have similar classes.  Go watch your local races and talk to the drivers.  Then you will have to start winning and moving up through the faster classes.  To become professional will not be an east task as most of the pro racers come from a racing family background and have been doing it since they were able to stand.
