Is there anyway of connecting two ethernet cables together ?

i want to connect my xbox 360 directly to a wireless router but there both in seprate rooms and i have to massive long 15ft ethernet cables im just wondering....

is there anyway you can connect two together to make one long one ?

any help with help =]

  1. If you have the money, i would look at getting a wireless adapter for your xbox, this would save you from having to trail wires around the house


  2. yes you can.  It just takes a female RJ45 - Female RJ45.  Although the price of network cables is really cheap, especially if you get online.

  4. I think there might be a coupler out there.  If not a switch will always work.  Buy a switch NOT a hub.

  5. Yes you can couple your ethernet cables, as long as they are both the same kind.  

    (meaning one is not a "cross-over" cable).
