Is there anyway possible to limit other computers from accessing a network address

Also, would a loopback cause other computers to get internet access even if directly plugged in. Or could it be a firewall that stops all computers from obtaining a network address

  1. Your question is a bit confusing.

    I’m going to assume that you want to prevent a computer or a series of computers from accessing another computer/server on your IP network.

    You can use a firewall either network based or host based.  That would be the best way to go.


  2. I work for Netgear, and Netgear routers has a feature called URL filtering in which you can block the access to a certain web site or some web sites that has a keyword in their URLs. This restriction can be set to all or just certain LAN clients. So I guess this can serve the purpose you asked about.
