Oscar De la Hoya cancels his

pointless fight with Floyd Mayweather,

and instead.....

Joe Calzaghe vs Oscar De La Hoya

May 5th Cinco De Mayo, both

being their last fight ever.

Joe goes back down to Super Middle,

and Oscar goes up to super middle,

or some such catch weight in between.

first off joe and roy jones arnt probably goign to fight in the fall.  they are talking about joe and palvik in the fall which would be amazing. that is a awful idea de la hoya and calzaghe there like 5 weight classes in between de la hoya would get killed if he jumped that much in weight. an if calzaghe fights palvik he would lose and retire

Oscar was at best a welter, and had to literally blow himself up to get to middleweight, where he was chubby and slow when he fought Sturm, which many argue Oscar lost that fight, before getting KO'd for the first and only time by Hopkins.

Calzaghe is 6'1 and has problems making Super-Middle, while he moved up to Light Heavy. Even if he goes back down to Super Middle, by the day of the fight, he'd easily be at 175.

Oscar would be a balloon if he tried to get up to Super Middle.
