Question:

Is there anyway to call the local USPS to see if a package has went through?

I'm expecting a package that I paid for from ebay. But I haven't been able to get a hold of the seller. The paypal says it's been shipped but the USPS tracking thing doesn't say that it has yet.

Also, my address has to be forwarded so It would take even longer.

I just NEED to know if it's been through my station yet.

Would they know if it's gone through their station if I were to call?

Please and thanks.

  1. If you know the information for the package sent you can actually go to the UPS website and see exactly where it is and if it has reached its destination yet.

If you go to the first source below and find the place to put the tracking number you can find it.

If you want the phone number you can go to the second source below and find the phone number that best describes what you need for your package.

Yes, they will know if it has gone through their station if you call. They should know at least.

    Best of luck!

  2. Sorry to say this, it is a common misunderstanding, but you do not have Tracking unless your item was sent by USPS Express mail.

Usually, with Ebay purchases, the seller will use the Paypal function to print a label for shipping. This label includes Delivery Confirmation. DC is NOT tracking. It is only designed to confirm the delivery of an item.

I am guessing that you are seeing a message that starts out with something like, "The USPS has been electronically notified....". This does not mean that your package has not been shipped. This is the standard message that displays when someone produces an online shipping label.

You really need to get your address updated in Ebay & Paypal to reflect where you live now. There is no way to contact an individual Post Office to "see" if your item has been there or not.

USPS employs quite a bit of cutting edge technology designed to skip steps in Mail Processing. One is what is called PARS. What this does is to redirect a package or letter that is addressed somewhere that has an active Change of Address order on file. Especially on Letters, once read by the automated machinery, a lookup is performed and if there is a COA, then the new address and the new barcode is sprayed on the letter so that it is directed to the new address first, rather than going to the old one, and then to the forwarding unit, then to the new address.

The reason I am telling you this is because it is likely that the package never got to your old PO and was redirected from a facility before being delivered there.

All you can do is be patient. It will get there when it gets there.

  3. If you have the Tracking number you can track that by click below

If USPS missed you for delivering your package to home they will put a sticker on your door with tracking and a number to call ;-)
