  1. I have the same problem as you, so here is what I do:

    1) Get a fan - I got a $20 fan at Wal-Mart that sits a few feet from my bed.  It is great with cooling my room down.

    2) Leave your door open - This allows the warm air from your room to be replaced with cooler air in the rest of the house.

    3) Open your windows - It won't do any good for your air conditioning bill, but night air is cooler than daytime air.

    4) Reduce the number of electronics in your room - While computers, lights, or televisions are on, they radiate heat energy.  It might not seem like a lot, but it adds up.

I hope these tips help you in some way.  Good luck to you :)

  2. believe it or not cleaning it will help....not saying its dirty but just going through and removing any clutter, organizing things and changing the sheets can help....if you have a computer or other electronics that you leave on all the time ~ turn them off...computers are a huge source of heat

  3. If it is cool outside opening the windows at night would be a good start. Also make sure that the shades are pulled closed during the day.

If you have a ceiling fan make sure it is pulling the cool air upward (rather than pushing the hot air downward).

If it is humid you can use a dehumidifier to pull the moisture (which holds heat) out of the air.

If nothing else... Buy an air conditioner! (If you don't have any windows, you can buy models that don't require pulling air from outside.)

  4. buy a fan to put in your room and open up the window if they have a screen
