Quite a few Years ago now my Dad had a Dodge Superbee and he would like to find out where it is now, We live in the UK and we used the Auto Trader Website to find some history on the Vehicle, Some Stuff came up i.e. the Colour, and Fuel type but not much else .It has Led us to believe it might still be in the UK.

Any Help would be much appreciated and it would make my Dad Uber happy, and who knows i might get a Trip to Disneyland out of it!

  1. Steven G - You can, BUT they won't gave out the details, it's not a good enough reason.

  2. Short answer: No.

The only people who can get the owner details for a car registered in the UK are the police, insurance companies and solicitors. And for insurers/solicitors to get the information, they have to send a written request to the DVLA, with a fee and an explanation as to why they need it (usually for an ongoing motor claim)

It's the Data Protection Act, nothing you can do about it I'm afraid!

  3. you can if you said its stolen lol. but the only thing you can do is contact the owner of the car. (probably the person your dad sold it to).

  4. you can pay a fee to the dvla and they will tell you the address of the owner
