Is there anyway to fix an FTP error?

I have an FTp error saying

The connection with the server was reset

i have already installed and reinstalled the program about 3 times and no luck.

10points to the person with the working solution

sounds like you may have a problem with your server details. make sure when you input your details when you set it up that they are correct.

Also can you tell us what FTP program you are using?
