I have wireless internet in my room. When someone is one the cordless phone, it disconnects my computer from the internet. We also have the duel phones, where one is on the phone line, and one is not. I know its because of the phone cord that is connected to the phone. Is there anyway to stop being disconnected on my wireless internet computer when someone is one the cordless one?

  1. Get broad band from your cell phone provider. It woks really well, and the number is only for your computer.

  2. The cordless phone is using the same frequency range as your Wireless Access Point (WAP).

    Two option.

    1)  If your phone allows you to change frequencies or channels, try doing so.

    2)  If you can remote into your WAP, you can sometimes change the channels its using.  The best ones to use with 802.11B/G are 1, 6 and 11.  They dont overlap as much as the other ones do.

A final option (if the phone is causing a denial of sevice of some sort), is to move the WAP or Remote Reciver for the phone to different locations.

Its better to get Wireless phones that work outside the 2.4GHz area.
