Is there anyway to get internet on the iPod touch all the time?

To get the internet on it do you have to be at a WiFi hot spot or can you just buy internet for it like the iPhone?

FYI, for those folks who travel a lot and want high speed "3G" internet access while on the road for their laptops or their gadgets like an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch, or a Sony PSP/Mylo/PS3, or Nintendo Wii/DS or Nokia 770/800/810 tablet, an Archos 605 WiFi, or even the Chumby... take a look at this article:

You have to be in a wi fi spot.

I believe you just have to be on WiFi...unless there is a way to hack on to Edge or something if your iPod is jailbroken...I have an iPhone and I never got into all that, but if your okay with it then you might want to research that, but i wouldn't recommend it.
