Is there anyway to get on a train and pay for it later?

my sisters boyfriend is stranded in birmingham and he has no money on him or bank cards or nothing. so is there anyway to get him from birmingham to durham and then he can pay for it later.

or is there anyway to get a ticket to him via the train service

Best bet would be for you to go to Durham Station, pay for his ticket there amd get them to telephone Birmingham. Alternatively, telephone Arriva Cross Country - whose service he will use - and pay them.

Better ask him to move straight to the Police station near and stay there. Anyone of your relations nearby, catch the next train to Birmingham and help him. This is the best possible way.

I think Western Union is your best bet.  Unless you want to book his fare.  This means make arrangements and pay for his travel.

Ever heard of traveler's aid. I am sure there is an office in Birmingham.

But if he is broke, why is he traveling?

Is he under aged, or just released from prison?

Doesn't this boyfriend have other people he can call? Like parents, or friends or relatives?

Don't be young and then drag him to you because you have a crush on him. Big mistake, "Oh but our love is different", "people just don't understand". I have heard that line 80,000 times. If that is you, save your money and get someone local, because it is you that doesn't understand it will never work. He is using you, and will always fall and you will catch him. If he is any kind of man, he would find his own way.

credit card,or do you know someone who will let you use the credit card and call and pay for the ticket on the phone

you can probably go on line and purchase the ticket with a credit card and put the ticket in his name, then he can pick it up at the ticket counter, as long as he has valid id.
