Is there anyway to get xm radio to work in the middle east?

I'm deploying soon. wonderin if xm or any other satalite radio works over there. I love music and the radio over the sux. i hate AFN

  1. yea, but pack your C.D,s. Some areas in Iraq like camp victory has poor reception but with a high quality radio with a modified antenna works wonders.

Forget Xm or Sirius as they are aimed at the US and Canada Continent only.. and on the internet they look for Ip addresses registered to US Based servers, so if the base shows as US IP, you can hear it on your computer, if not, you're screwed from what I understand (But they may have expanded Internet listening..you need to call XM and Sirius for the straight scoop)

    Depending upon deployment timeline (to be able to check out the service,price, and order a radio), try Worldspace as it's the only service offering Satelitte radio in Iraq.

    Variety is less than Xm or Sirius, but is more than local fare and AFN
