Is there anyway to go to greenland from canada?

I was looking at websites, and although there are boats leaving from Canada, tours are included. I'd rather not have to pay for the tour. I would rather just like to get there and then come back in a week. (and i'd rather not have to fly from Iceland or Denmark because that will be over my budget.)

  1. only the Canadian Military flys into Greenland from Canada and they won't give you  a lift.  Because there is/was a large US base in thule greenland you might want to see if there is an American airline that goes there otherwise you have to go through Denmark or Iceland.

BTW been there it ain't that green in the part that I was in

  2. Via Iceland from Halifax or Toronto on Icelandair.  They have some good fare deals on at the moment.  You may have to make a Greenlandair connection depending where in Greenland you want to go.

  3. The Vikings and St. Brendan figured it out.  So did a crew of Icelanders, who sailed a tiny replica craft to Newfoundland and Halifax a few years back.

  4. sorry to break it to u but three are no more flights from canada to greenland

u will have to make a detour to copenhagen or charter a plane
