Is there anyway to import MPEG-2 files to WMM?

A codec maybe?

What im really looking for is the best way to edit videos with my new camera, a SONY DCR DVD 610. A feature included in the Picture Motion Browser (included software) allows you to convert the original MPEG-2 files into WMV, but makes it look choppy.

  2. MPEG-2 is a poor format for editing, but WMM can't edit it at all.  If converting the video isn't doing it for you you'll need to try another editor - AVS Video Editor is worth a look
