  1. you mean to tell me you are writing about a report and don't remember if it was wet and rainy or sunny outside???

    Must have been a big accident.  I hope you are ok and weren't seriously injured.

  2. Yes.

    http://www.wunderground.com has that feature.

  3. Try the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrations website, www.noaa.org.  Find the search bar and type in "Historical weather data." Click on the NSSL website tag.

    Not sure what the scale is your looking for (city, state, town), but that should be able to provide you with anything you need and then some!

  4. You didn't indicate whether you were the victim,

    cause, or witness to the accident,

    which would have helped us answer your question.

    As such, the following response will try

    to cover all those cases:

    If you were cited as the cause of the accident,

    the weather might already be noted on the ticket,

    which, unless you can prove that the officer was wrong,

    will be accepted and used by the court,

    assuming that's your intent

    (I'm curious as to why you delayed

    writing the accident report for a month).

    Or, go to your local library,

    ask for that given day's newspaper,

    and duplicate the weather forecast page

    (if the accident occurred out of your local area,

    contact the library and ask if they will send you the info,

    if you send them a self-addressed/stamped return envelope,

    and an appropriate "research" fee,

    which the library may impose;

    local TV and radio stations might be willing to do it, as well).

    You can also go to any number of weather-based websites,

    such as the one listed, below,

    which I arbitrarily set for New York City

    (to change the city/state,

    enter the desired city/state at the top of that page,

    and then click "Past Month" near the bottom

    of the subsequent page;

    if the desired date is before that,

    you can get the previous month

    via the "Select a new month" box

    just below and to the right

    of the "Past Month Details" line;

    prior months require a subscription).

    For the record, most courts will ignore defenses

    of weather conditions as a cause for accidents,

    as they will contend that you

    should have been more careful

    (i.e., driving without lights during inclement weather,

    or driving at excessive-for-the-conditions speeds,

    or tailgating, etc).

    Of course, that assumes you were cited

    as the cause of the accident

    (i.e., you needn't be concerned about the weather,

    if you were the victim).

    Regardless, if you need to present any evidence

    concerning the weather (or anything else for that matter) to a court,

    make sure to include complete, verifiable information,

    such as the source's name (i.e., newspaper, website, etc),

    date, page (either printed or web-based), etc.

    P.S.  In the context of your question,

    "any way" is two words, not one.
