I made my niece a gorgeous little bo peep costume. she spilled orange punch on it at school and my mom washed it and it didnt come out. now she returned the costume to me cause I have a daughter now and I have no idea how to try to get the punch off now that its been washed and dried. I spent alot of money on it cause I bought good quality fabrics and I can bear to toss it out. If I cant clean it I'll have to just replace the section of fabric that is stained IF I can find it again.

  1. I've had a lot of success with OxyClean.  Soak it in the washer with detergent and OxyClean (low water setting).  Let it agitate, but don't go through the entire wash cycle.  Repeat the agitate and soak process for several hours.  Then let it go through the rest of the wash cycle.  It's worked at getting LOTS of stains out even after they've been washed and dried.

  2. Spray the stain with Shout and let it set for an hour.  Then gentley scrub the stain with an old tooth brush.  Rewash with Tide (it's the best detergent for stains) and little bleach (I use 1/4 for a full load of whites).  DO NOT DRY IT if the stain didn't come out.

If the stain faded, do the shout treatment again, then re wash with  tide.  It may take some work and re-washing, but it should come out.

You could always try the Clorox Bleach pen.
