Is there anyway to see through a scratchcard where you need to scratch off CERTAIN squares to win?

I ask this because I received a card today that would allow whomever was able to scratch 6 squares of the same symbol and ONLY six squares would win $10,0000. It was part of a promotion for a car dealership.

  1. All companies try to make them as legit as possible with a very low probability of being able to cheat. They take many steps to ensure its not possible for the integrity of the games.

  2. Wouldn't that make scratchcards somewhat pointless?

Think about it for a couple of seconds  -  or in your case, several hours.

  3. She has a very valid point, if there were indeed such a scratch card where it would be a winner ONLY if certain boxes were scratched, and the house advantage was based on the randomness of the boxes being unknown prior to scratching, AND there were few enough cards that had NO possiblilty winning regardless of a player knowing or not knowing which to scratch,  a player who could know which boxes to scratch could beat the game.

How this would be done i do not know but this is a serious  vulnerability worth attacking if such a card does exhist.

Surely there are security feature incorperated in the card to prevent such simple tactics as an overpowering light source to shine through the card

I wouldnt be surprised if there is a way though with perhaps some form of penetrating light or energy
