  1. 3a(2a - b) - (2a + b)

    = 3a*2a - 3a*b - 2a - b

    = 6a^2 - 3ab - 2a - b

  2. if you started with 6a^2 - 3ab - 2a + b

    then you factored it wrong...

    it should be 3a(2a - b) - (2a -b)

    then it's

    (2a-b)(3a-1)

  3. yes there is its called foiling. its reduced to

    6a^2-3ab-2a-b

  4. 6a^2 - 3ab - 2a + b=

    (6a^2 - 3ab) - (2a - b)=

    3a(2a-b)-(2a-b)=

    (2a-b)(3a-1).
