Is there anyway to speed up the child support?

sometimes it takes a while to get started and get finished...my dad was still paying child support for me when i was 22 because the state of NJ is full of retards...and my bf's new job still hasn't taken it out of his checks yet even though he turned in the paperwork back in april...you can imagine the b****ing his ex does, so he just gives her a check and records it.  good luck with everything.

Initially there is a lot of red-tape, filing, etc. etc. etc. etc.

There is so much involved with starting up the support order it will take a long time, there is no way around it.  Even when everyone involved agrees and accepts everything and there is no fighting or hunting it still takes a long time to get everything going.  Court dates are usually set 2 months out minimum, and sometimes longer.  If the two of you live in different states, that will tac on a ton of extra time as well.  If someone asks for DNA testing, that tacs on 2-6 MORE months.  If they have a problem locating the guy, that's an indefinate amount of time that could be added on, until they do find him.  That's the government for you, slow as a snail.  I know someone where it took them 4 years to get their first check due to the finding of the person, court dates, DNA testing, etc. etc.  As long as you give them everything they ask for, when they ask for it, you are doing all that you can.

nope it's a long but worthy process....l filed in Apr/07 got a remediation date of june/07 he was not happy with the outcome so we got a court date for Aug/07 he was suppose to start paying Sep/07 and he did not had 2 go back 2 court twice bc he would not pay finally got my first check Apr/08 and lasted bout a month now we have another court date for Sep/08 and he is suppose 2 pay up or go to jail but l doubt he will show up....anyway good luck and if he is not helping u now he will have back support 2 pay!

It depends on much you know about that person..

Since you know all about him (lucky you) you should let them know..every little think you know about him..

But it takes about 2 months or more..

nope, your lucky. I live in Tx and it took me 6 mos.

Go through the attorney general and follow all their guidelines. In Tx it comes right out of their pay checks.
