  1. http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_fo...

Look at the above link. This spray paint works well. We've used it for spray painting flower pots that are outside.

  2. Technically you should have a primer, a base that adheres better to the plastic than paint.....if it is something that is going to be visual but not practical (something like a plastic picture frame versus an item you will use) then you can sometimes skip the primer but it works best if you do a few layers not just one heavy one hold the can far enough away to have a light dusting of paint and dry and repeat until the layers cover evenly. If you spray too close or too heavy it will bubble or run or chip easily.

  3. listen to computers' advice, krylon makes a spray paint just for painting plastics. all you need to do is clean it well, let it dry completely, and apply it with several light coats, don't try to get the finished look in just one coat of paint. you'll find it at hardware and auto parts stores, good luck.

  4. I would not spray paint the plastic. I assume it is a plastic fabric for a chair or couch. If so, go out and buy a leather dye of color of your choice and rub it in. It may require two coats but will last long time.
