  1. Sharp pains? feeling sick?  Those could just be symptoms of, well, a virus?  Perhaps you ate something that didn't agree w/ you.  However, to answer your question,  you can purchase a home-pregnancy test, but I'd wait another week or so, perhaps two... those tests are great at detecting the "pregnancy hormone" early-on, but you have to give  your body a chance to produce it...some tests advertise that you can know you are pregnant BEFORE your missed period.  I think one of them is the EPT.  Good luck in what ever you want your answer to be.

  2. if you have missed your period you can test for pregnancy. if it's two weeks after your period you are probably only ovulating. go to your nearest clinic and get tested. and please don't be stupid next time (if the results are negative!). use protection or go on the pill. there are so many unwanted children in this world. good luck and be safe!

  3. try a test and maybe go to the doctor before these pains become worse

  4. no just buy the pregnant test and if is positive, well doing the blood testis better than nothing

  5. A home pregnancy test "can" detect a pregnancy as early as 4-5 days before your missed period..  however the results are more accurate if you wait until you've actually missed your period.

Only a blood test would be able to detect a pregnancy otherwise.  You should not be feeling sharp pains tho..  if you may be pregnant and experiencing sharp pains, you may be having an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy.

Your sharp pains may also be your gall bladder, appendix or pancreas too.

  6. First of all, Calm Down!

Second, either get to a clinic or buy a test straight away. There are tests that can tell if your pregnant a few days before your missed period. Ask for one of those at the pharmacy, or if your too shy, look one up on the internet that most drugstores should have.

If you are pregnant, decide what you want to do. Take prenatal vitamins and go to the doctor.

If your NOT pregnant, be more careful next time! Get on the pill or do whatever next time you have s*x so it wont happen again!

  7. If it's been two weeks, you can take a pregnancy test today. If it's positive, you're pregnant. If it's negative, that's a good sign but you're not completely out of the woods. You'll need to re-test in another week or so to see if you still get a negative. Some women take a while to build up enough of the pregnancy hormone for a test to detect.

Don't go by symptoms. Every single early pregnancy symptom can be caused by something other than pregnancy, and the vast majority of women have no symptoms at all after two weeks.

  8. No, there's no way to know for sure unless you go the doctor or take a test. Try webmd symptom tracker for fun though. It may tell you what it is if it's not a pregnancy
