  1. There's a really famous music store called Chappells of London which sells loads of musical instruments.

I've been in quite a few times and have sat down to use their pianos and keyboards for a while. They have sheet music which you can buy or borrow as a customer. It's located on Wardour Street, closest from the Oxford Street side.

  2. There are a lot of street entertainers in Convent Garden, why not ask them.

  3. Your best bet is to barter with a church or school.  Offer to do such-and-such - accompany a rehearsal, etc. - for use of the piano when nobody else is there.  Worked for me for practicing the pipe organ.

  4. Schools would be best  -  their pianos are likely to be kept reasonably in tune.  Old Folks' Homes may have a piano  -  you could offer to entertain now and then.  Or you could try putting an appeal on the noticeboard of your local supermarket or library  .....    there's bound to be a piano near you somewhere.

Another thought.  I was on holiday abroad a month ago, and there was lovely music coming from inside a church which was closed that day.  Someone was practising lovely Bach.  Would an organ meet your needs?  There's sure to be a church somewhere close.
