I play on Full Tilt Poker from the U.S. My credit cards block gambling websites so I use a transfer service. www.georgespokerstore.com does transfers for U.S. sites. The fees are a bit high but if you use their live help, you can usually get their prices down by bargaining with them.

Full Tilt and PokerStars accept US players. Avoid Ultimatebet and Absolute Poker due to recent cheating scandals.

Funding your account is the issue. Use epassporte and pay high fees, or find someone on these sites whom you trust to transfer you money within the site (PokerStars allows this, not sure about FT).
