Going Abroad in a few weeks and am wondering how to watch the NFL when I get there, and I would prefer to not sit in my room and watch from a computer.

  1. Plenty of pubs that will show games.  Look for the blue Fox Sports sign.  We get a version of ESPN here so you'll get AFC games on that channel while Fox Sports will shows NFC games...the East usually proliferates.

The thing is, most pubs are not open 24hours whereas Crown Casino is and has a bar which has a screen wall (20-30 screens on a big wall) so you'll be able to catch the games live as they are normally on at strange hours because of the time difference.

Can't wait for the season to start so the Eagles can s***w up again!

  2. You can get them on our cable network Foxtel and if you're staying in your own hotel/motel room theres a fair chance that the relevant channel will be connected to your TV.

If not look for a hotel that advertises PUBTAB as many of them have the racing connected via Foxtel and go in there and see if they have a spare screen that they'll turn onto the gridiron for you.

Its not a huge sport over here so you may have to do some running around if you really want to see it

  3. I doubt you will find any public place showing American football (because hardly anyone here is interested - sorry).  The only time you will get one or two places showing it would be for the grand final and then all the expats and tourists gather there to watch.

  4. i am pretty sure that you can watch it on foxtel(australian cable).channels such as fox sports.

these channels are usually played at local pubs and the like.
