Is there anywhere in michigan to take acting classes?

i want to be an actress but i live in michigan and auditions really don't happen i have no experince where can i go to get some?

  1. It seems you are asking two questions: where to study acting and where one might get experience as an actor. Let's take a stab at the second question first.

    Michigan is a fairly large state with many community theatre groups. If you don't have one where you live, then broaden your search to include cities and towns up to 25 miles away or so. In Michigan you are fortunate because you have a Community Theater Association. I've shared the website below. These groups usually have open auditions so auditioning would not be a problem... getting a part is more challenging.

    Now... acting lessons. If you are a student, I would urge you to get involved with the school theatre program. If your school doesn't have a theatre program, then I would pursue the community theatre option. If you want to study with an acting coach outside of an educational institution, you may be able to work out an arrangement with a college-level acting teacher or theatre director.
