I've only been able to find cash for cans and I have a lot of bottles that I just throw away at work. Is there any place in Dallas that will give cash for bottles or any other goods besides cans? Thanks.

  1. You're supposed to just give it to recycle because its the right thing to do. They need the money to stay in business.

  2. Probably.  Some scrap yards will deal in glass, and any glass foundry might be interested.  But, scrap glass is a VERY cheap commodity.  I think clear bottles are the best, and they're about $12 a ton.

Now, there may be some small foundries willing to pay a bit of a premium for scrap glass.  Particularly the artsy type places like:

    Dallas Fine Arts Foundry

    Craft Guild of Dallas

But I can't see them giving you much more than a couple dollars for 100 pounds of bottles... and they probably already have a source.

Best thing to do is put your glass in your normal recycling.  If Texas has a bottle deposit, take it back to the store and get your money.
