Is there anywhere near Melbourne you can hire small sailing boats (1-2 person) just for a quick sail?

Now Summer is nearly here, I really miss sailing in dinghys like when I was younger. The Melbourne Yacht clubs don't seem to rent out smaller boats, just hoping there is a lake or beach within a mornings drive from Melbourne for mucking about in boats?! Cheers
