I am looking for dd 1172 which is the form you need to register onto DEERS but I have only been able to find it as a word doc on a site that wanted $8.99. My computer doesnt like pdf files for some reason even tho I have downloaded and updated acrobat.

sorry, I'll find it for u

Man, you must have just gone through what I did.  I found that same d**n site.

Try uninstalling acrobat and using another free third party PDF viewer.  Google has them too.

    Good Luck

  2. Here is the link to Tricares page of forms. If you try to open a form you may get a "Certificate Error" go ahead and click  "Continue to this website (not recommended) and you should be where ever to h**l it is that you was lost from.

  3. What they don't make it easy for you to go gundeck your own forms??  Go to admin and they will do a legal form for you.   Get caught forging your own docs and risk losing a paygrade or two, your job. half months pay for two months and some extra duty.  Not to mention all the other stuff that they could throw at you.  Do we really need yet another criminal type?

  4. If you can get it as a PDF, you definitely have a couple free options:

    (1) Open the PDF in a free PDF form filler / free PDF editor such as PDFescape:

    http://www.pdfescape.com

    (2) Use a free PDF to DOC conversion tool, such as PDF Online, see:

    http://www.pdfonline.com/pdf2word/index....

Personally, I'm a big fan of filling out PDF forms in their native format (as converting them usually produces bad results).

If using Adobe Reader is giving you trouble, sounds like an online PDF editor like PDFescape is for you.
