we would like to camp on a beach or field, just somewhere free and legal for a night in the north east of england.

  2. I'm not sure for free but near enough, if you ask a farmer if you can camp out in one of his fields.

    A camp site would only cost you less than £4 a person (ish) per night

    Thats not even 2 pints - and for that you get free showers....
