Some people park at Walmart parking lots. Call ahead to make sure there's no problem about parking there. Talk to the RV people, they would know. They call it Wally-world, or WalPark.

The service plaza on I-95 just south of the GW bridge has overnight parking with restaurants, restrooms, and shower rooms.  If you want to go into NYC, there is a commuter bus depot just north of the plaza (in walking distance) that has bus service to Manhattan on weekdays, but not weekends.
