Is there anywhere where "clotted cream" may be purchased in the US?

  1. you can purchase it in many supermarkets and high end stores.  Depending on where you live, they will somtimes have UK markets.  But you can make it your self as well.... here is a link.. just use really heavy fat whip cream.


  2. If you have a World Market store (also known as Cost Plus World Market in some areas) you can find small jars of it there.

I am a former chef and here in Canada we sell it in our regular grocery stores/shops, in the US you may have to settle for Devon Cream, also even try making it with a bit of the Whipping cream they have (double cream in the UK) about 1 pint of cream to a 1/2 cup of cultured buttermilk, let sit out on top of the counter or top of the frig overnight (I put a piece of cling film over top and poke a few air holes inside, to keep the dust and cat out of it) and then chilled to thicken, alot like clotted or devon cream and you can make more for what you will pay for just one small jar of the English stuff, if interested in a recipe, drop me a line.
