  1. It is possible but brewing from grain is much more complicated than brewing from malt extracts.  And making good grape wine is hard because wine grade grapes are not readily available.  But there are lots of other wines you can make.

Get yourself a copy of this book.  It explain everything about making beer wine and liquor without using fancy equipment or ingredients.

  2. There is.  About 20 years ago, you could get apple juice in a one gallon glass jug.  Now, I'm not sure.  Plastic doesn't work as well.  Anyhow, here's the recipe.  (I use condoms.  They're sterile.  Balloons aren't.)

  3. There is but you need some special equipment and supplies to make something worth drinking.

  4. Sure.  Buy a gallon of apple cider, grape juice, etc. with no preservatives in it.  Buy a pack of bakers yeast.  Dump said yeast into juice.  Wait a few days.

Okay, it is a bit more detailed.  Make sure your bottle can vent air.  If you seal it, the pressure from the fermentation will cause it to explode.  You preferably would want to do so in a way that allows air to escape the bottle, but not enter the bottle.  A cotton ball stuffed in the opening is a crude method.  You can run a tube from the top of the bottle into a glass of water or vodka.  The air will bubble out through the water, but bacteria won't get in.  An airlock purchased from a wine or homebrew store is best, and only costs a dollar or two.

You'll want to leave a few inches of space in the bottle or else the yeast will foam out the top and make a big mess.  Drink some of the juice, or put it into another container with more space.

You'll want to make sure your beverage is fermenting at 60-75 degrees F for the yeast to work.  Too cool and they'll be dormant.  Too hot and your brew will taste bad.

This will make a crude, but possibly enjoyable drink.  If you want to go natural, get some unpasteurized apple cider and don't add anything, just let it sit for a few days at a cool temperature.

If you have whole fruit, just crush it up and add some water, and do as above.

  5. Try a search for moon shine stills its a place to start,  and if you make enough you can use it in your gas tank as well.
