  1. yes. This is one of the emerging  technology. Future lies in Genetics  and bio engg.

Computer can be learnt any time. it is a logical  system .

  2. It depends , which country you will use your degree, because, if there is scope to do more work in Biomedical, than it is better than IT, CSE, as Medical Science is improving and technology is being developed every day, so it is challenging and worthwhile to work Biomedical Engineering

  3. Definitely yes if you are interested in working hospitals handling special equipments. You get paid equal to the doctors.

  4. It quite depends on what you want to do with your life.  What I have written is something that I would be telling my cousin who will be graduating from school soon.

IT/CS primarily are support functions in the corporate world, so if you would like to be someone's employee for the rest of your life or set up a small business where you supply people with computers or computer programs then they are for you.  Again for ECE, I do not think that any individual has the money to setup his own telecommunication business so you will always remain someone's employee - if that is what you want to be then you should follow that line...

I come from a Mechanical Engineering background.  I chose Biomedical Engineering because it offers challenging work and I thrive in this environment.  The renumeration in the field is high, which is also an attraction.  However, apart from this, knowing that my work potentially saves a number of lives makes sitting in my office tinkering with complicated differential equations and what they mean worth it!  There is little engineering that can outdo saving a human life...
