Is there caffeinne in the ground after having coffee?

I don't wanna drink the coffee ground after having cup of coffee, uh ! :)) I'm just wondering if I drink coffee, do I drink all the caffeinne, or some stays in the coffee ground, the coffee left on the bottom of my cup :)

  1. No, not all of the caffeine is extracted from the coffee beans when it is brewed. This is evidenced by the fact that different brewing methods result in different caffeine contents. For example, drip coffee has approximately 145 mg of caffeine per 8-oz. serving, whereas brewed coffee (which I assume you are drinking) has about 107 mg. Caffeine content also varies according to the variety of coffee beans and roasting process used.

    So, in short, yes - some of the caffeine in the coffee stays in the grounds.


  2. No you do not drink all of the caffeine in the coffee. Whatever is in the coffee has some that left behind becasue there is coffee grinds left behind. The different brewing methods can cause more of it to end up in your coffee. The least amount can be 85 mg of caffeine but I don't remember which method that is.
