Is there car insurance that also covers major modifications to your car?

Ive got all the receipts but if it gets totaled im gonna get barely anything for it atm

Yes, it's called a "rider". This is not cheap but covers many modifications (legal ones) or add-ons. You will need the receipts and possibly need to take the car to your agent for verification. Just for your personal info, it is easy to get cancelled if these items start disappearing and you file many claims.

Yes, but some modifications could make you an ineligible risk, such as those that are obviously for race/going fast purposes.  Otherwise, just let your insurance agent know you have customized your vehicle, and he'll get the specifics.

You have to inform your insurance company of the additional modifications and pay extra for these coverages. Most insurance companies do offer modification coverages. They will want to see the vehicle and the receipts before covering these items. I would also take photos and have your vehicle appraised with these modifications in case something was to happen.
