  1. Cellular roaming service and GSM capabilities are normal in Aruba. Please contact your local service provider for details regarding partner networks which would provide cellphone reception to your boyfriend while he's there.

You can also try calling his hotel, or leave a message through his email.  They already have internet access (dial-up or WiFi) in Aruba.   Good luck!

  2. of course Aruba has cell phone reception!!

but the big question is if he did bring his cellphone...must people when they go on vacation is to get away of the everyday stress...especially in Aruba

  3. My T-mobile phone works in Aruba, my hubby has Verizon and his works too-we both have quad band world phones. The call would go through "if" he has his cell on and if he has a cell with international capabilities.

The roaming fee's are: .17 tax,  plus 1.50 per minute. These are Aruba's fees (Setar & Digicel are their cel companies both charge the same rate)...there may be additional fee's from his cell phone company too. If you call make sure you make it quick because at that price 5 minutes becomes 10.00$ in the blink of an eye.

if you know his hotel, you can call and leave a message for him on the hotel voice mail...your long distance carrier will probably charge .50 - .70 cents a minute.

to reach Aruba dial  011(international)+297(country code)+(the hotel phone #-555-5555)

Don't worry, after a week vacation, he'll probably have forgotten that you were fighting when he left.

  4. there is cell phone service in aruba, but unless it has been upgraded, the only way a cell phone will reach the states is is the phone has an international sim card.

if you and your b/f had a fight and he is in aruba, leave him alone, give him a week to be a lone and sort things out without "bugging" him, because if i suspect, once you find out that he can get calls in aruba, you will be calling about every hour, the main people reason go on vacation is to "get away".

he is in aruba, having fun, if he really wants to talk to you, he will call you.

and, if he cant call with his cell, they have calling cards there that only make outgoing calls, as a call from his hotel room would be very expensive.
