I read online that there is some sort of scaffolding or temporary wall in front of the Duomo in Milan. Is this true? I saw a YouTube video of the Duomo and there was something in front of it, but I wasn't sure if the wall had come down by now. The video is here:

I am visiting in April and hope I get to actually see the outside of the structure in its entirety. If the scaffolding is in front of one side, is the other side able to be easily seen?

  1. Sorry but I can't see the video.

Yes, there is an scaffolding in the Duomo's facade , but fortunatelly, now it doesn't cover all the facade, just the lower part. I've been living in Milan for 4 years and I have never see the facade complete. Nevertheless, it is worth going to see it. I recommend you to go up to the roof. It's impressive.

  2. i am italian, and i have never seen the duomo entirely

    but it's wonderful!
