yes there is a very high tax/duty rate from usa to ireland . easy way around . purchase from canada , much less tax , much lower duty rate . plus canadian dollar is worth 99 cents to us dollars . which means same price . less import tax less duty . faster delivery , faster through customs . cheaper shipping . a rough guess 55% cheaper to purchase canada . hope this helps . unknown fact . same deal to all the british isles . graduated from high school in canada 1964 . is the story true , about killarney stone , that is the name of the school i attetended . thank you
